- bring a small clear plastic bottle of water, drink the whole thing while in the security line, pack the empty bottle in your carry-on, refill it after passing through security.

MarkMay 15, 2012If ur flying Delta out of Terminal 3 and ur gate is 19-30, ur actually leaving out of TERMINAL 2!!!! head to security at T2, it's FASTER and CLOSER to ur actual gate
Definitely in the top 3 New York area airports.
Take the LIRR from Penn to Jamaica then take the Air Tran. Much better and faster then can or subway in traffic. Total one way fair= $11.
If I were to fly to NY, I'd avoid JFK... lines are long and it takes a long time to get to JFK...

Protip: Apparently CBP doesn't start working until 6AM (on Saturdays?); tell your pilot to drive slow or you'll be waiting at the gate.

Delta is strict on the checked bags 1 hour prior to flight. 3 minutes late and mine was a late check. LGA is 45 minutes but JFK requires one hour. Those 10 minutes waiting for the airtrain hurts.
Showers in the Delta club in T4 can reset your travel clock!
Seamless experience with virgin. 15 min security line at SFO and waited for my bag a total of 5 minutes at JFK. If you're gonna check a bag, I'd suggest doing it with virgin.

If you're taking the B15 here & need one of the later terminals, you're better off taking the bus to Terminal 4 and catching the AirTrain there
Bar Brace in Delta regional terminal has ton of power outlets and ipads for ordering...very cool.
Don't shut off your phone until you are really about to take off. You may wait "in line" on the runway up to 45 minutes.
Flying in over long island you get a better appreciation of NYC that you don't see if you fly in through alternative airports.
